From the Commander
I would like to thank each and every officer who has served with me this year and helped make this a better post.
Everyone who visits our post comments on how friendly we are so lets welcome our visitors and make them feel at home.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Silent Auction and the ladies of the Auxiliary for making it a fun time.
Don't forget to make your reservation for the State Convention June 28th -July 1st .It is still 2 months away so make your reservation early at the Sheraton Music City Hotel.
We still need our members to come and participate on Saturday nights. We have added some new food on our menus and I am sure all of us can find something great to eat.
Please remember our sick and shut-ins in your prayers.
For God and Country
Dan Brown, Commander Post 82
From the Second Vice
I want to take the time to thank those of you that have contributed to making this year a success. My thanks go out to all of the bands that came here an Saturday nights and played even when the support from members was less than efficient .
May 4th is a new entertainment on on a Friday night from 7:p.m. to 9: p.m.. A $5.00 cover charge will include pizza. Come and witness a new band.
I want to to remember the Cinco de Mayo Party on May 5th and the Memorial Day open house on May 28th.
May you all have a very prosperous year to come.

There is still time for you to get in your dues for 2007. A lot of you paid your dues for 2006 but haven’t for 2007 and some of you have quite a few years of continuous membership and I would like to know why you haven’t renewed.
I have said it before, membership is important in a lot of ways, one of the most important is to see that Veterans still have a strong voice in congress not only for you but the all the young soldiers who are now serving all over the world as well as Iraq.
We need to keep the support of them going and to keep and increase their benefits as well as our own.
Our Post needs your support to stay open. A lot of Posts don’t have homes, some work fine that way others struggle for enough members just to be Officers every year.
We want to continue to have a place you can come to. We can only do that with your support and continued membership.
For God and Country

We are only 20 members away from having 100% and that would make all three Organizations at Post 82 100%.
We would like to have all the Dual members renew as well as SAL members.

The Jelly Bean Prayer
RED is for the blood he gave,
GREEN is for the grass he made,
YELLOW is for the sun so bright,
ORANGE is for the edge of night.
BLACK is for the sins that were made,
WHITE is for the grace he gave,
PURPLE is for the hour of sorrow,
PINK is for the new tomorrow.
Give a bag full of Jelly beans,
Colorful and sweet,
Tell them it’s a prayer,
It’s a promise,
It’s an Easter Treat!
Happy Easter to all! JELLY BEAN PRAYER
